Corvid Technologies Raises Over $311,000 to Support Local Charities

During Corvid Technologies’ “Season of Giving”, employees are encouraged to donate to a charity of choice and Corvid matches the donation five-to-one. Our combined fundraising efforts raised a total of $311,655, directly benefiting causes supporting healthcare, veterans, at risk youth, animal rescue, education, and community development.

​“Corvid is proud to empower our employees to give to charities that matter to them and use our collective to amplify donations year over year,” said President and CEO David Robinson. ​

Corvid plans to continue the matching program annually and continue partnerships with these important charities.

The following is a list of charities Corvid was proud to support this year:

$50,705 - HealthReach Community Clinic ($36,000 to Clinic and $14,705 to fitness charity)

Mission: HealthReach Community Clinic, located in Mooresville, NC, is a free clinic that contributes significantly to the health and wellness of our neighbors in need. It is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit charity with IRS 501(c)(3) status, providing health services to the uninsured since 2003. The clinic provides a range of services, from health and wellness education to non-emergency medical care.

$42,900 - Foster, Love, Adopt, Repeat

Mission: A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Mooresville, with a mission to raise awareness, provide support and meet the needs of children in foster care. The resource center provides a welcome bag to all who come through including brand new pajamas, diapers, wipes, bottles, toiletries, clothing, school supplies, toys, comfort items, and anything else that is needed.

$33,450 - Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County 

Mission: Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County is a community-based nonprofit organization. Its mission is to honor life by providing extraordinary care with compassion, comfort, and dignity to their patients, families, and community. This care is provided for all eligible patients and families regardless of their ability to pay.

$30,850 - Bags of Hope- Lake Norman and Greater Charlotte

Mission: Bags of Hope seeks to bring hope to the Lake Norman and greater Charlotte areas by supplying free weekend food provisions to school children who experience food insecurity.

$25,890 - Dove House Children's Advocacy Center 

Mission: Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center is a fully accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the investigation, prosecution, therapy, and follow-up of reported child sexual assault and abuse in Alexander and Iredell Counties. They pursue this mission through advocacy, intervention, collaboration, and education.  

$23,940 - Fifth Street Ministries & My Sister's House 

Mission: My Sister’s House is a safe place for women and children fleeing domestic violence, sexual violence, and/or human trafficking. They offer bedrooms that keep mothers and children together, common areas to relax, and a kitchen where they can cook meals with food provided by Fifth Street Ministries.

$23,700 - Feed NC 

Mission: Feed NC strives to create connections to food, education, and resources as a catalyst for change. In doing so, they aim to decrease food waste within the community, educate people through ongoing advocacy efforts, and ultimately improve the quality of life for families that are facing financial hardships.

​$15,300 - Lake Norman Humane Society

Mission: Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome. Lake Norman Humane envisions a community where pets are healthy, in a loving forever home, with the assurance that they can return to these homes should they ever be separated.

$13,500 - Hope of Mooresville

Mission: Hope of Mooresville provides temporary, safe shelter and support services to homeless women and children in Mooresville. They aspire to offer long-term solutions to homelessness and break the cycle for the next generation of families within our community. “HOMe” provides shelter for approximately six months and requires guests to partner with volunteers to set goals, track progress, and ultimately empower guests to become self-sufficient and independent. 75% of residents graduate from the program and transition into permanent housing.

$13,200 - St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

Mission: To advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment, and to ensure that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay.

$12,000 - Welcome Home Veterans at Richard's Coffee Shop

Mission: Welcome Home Veterans Living Home Military Museum at Richard's Coffee Shop is a living military museum dedicated to honoring America's veterans, active-duty personnel, and emergency services personnel. The veterans who visit the shop play a part in the living history through their stories and help find, procure, and display the artifacts and memorabilia in the museum.

$7,200 - Carpenter’s Shelter

Mission: Located in Alexandria, Virginia, Carpenter’s Shelter supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through shelter and housing placement, guidance, education, and advocacy.

$3,720 - Free 2 Teach

Mission: Free 2 Teach provides free resources to teachers in Madison County and Limestone County’s public-school systems. These resources are available to more than 6,000 classroom teachers and school staff, along with their 75,000+ students, improving the educational experience of our children and strengthening our community’s future workforce.

$3,600 - Animal Welfare League of Alexandria  

Mission: Since 1946, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) has been a resource for our community and a shelter for homeless animals. Each year they care for more than 2,000 animals. They help animals find homes and help keep beloved pets with their families during difficult times. 

​$3,600 - North Alabama Foster Closet

Mission: To provide holistic support and resources for foster, adoptive, and kinship families in Huntsville and surrounding areas who care for vulnerable children for a day, a week, or a lifetime.

$3,600 - Still Serving Veterans

Mission: To make a lasting impact on veterans and their families by providing professional support services that empower and equip them for a secure future.

$2,100 - The Christian Mission 

Mission: The Christian Mission serves as a catalyst for transforming lives in the Mooresville area. They empower people in the community to serve those in need so that they can achieve an improved quality of life. As the hands and feet of Christ, The Christian Mission provides resources, skills, education, and services to individuals and families to alleviate suffering and break the cycle of generational poverty in our area. 

$1,200 - Kids to Love

Mission: Kids to Love, based in Madison Alabama, has served hundreds of thousands of children living in foster care, putting clothes on their backs, getting Christmas presents under the tree, and giving them scholarships for the next steps of their education. Kids to Love also operates Davidson Farms, a foster home for girls, the Whitaker Cottage Community for girls aging out of foster care, and our own licensed Child Placing Agency.

​$600 - Manna House

Mission: Manna House is the food distribution program of the Huntsville Dream Center, a 501(c)(3) public charity. They are volunteers serving our community to meet the needs of those experiencing difficult situations. As a community of many cultures, faiths, economic levels, and educational backgrounds they come together to improve the quality of life for others in our community.

​$600 - House of the Harvest

Mission: House of the Harvest exists to be a highly relational ministry that actively engages poverty alleviation efforts by providing free breakfast on weekends in Harvest, Alabama.
